Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH)
Whatever the type of pest you have in your property, whether its clothes moths in the upstairs cupboards, fleas bought in on the back of the cat or cockroaches in the kitchen most likely a chemical treatment will be required to deal with your infestation.

Usually this will be a liquid insecticide spray or a fogging agent of fine insecticidal droplets. The chemicals we use to kill insects maybe harmful to humans and any pets and these chemicals require control and regulation of use.

Maidenhead Pest Control abides by all current legislation and the proscribed best working practises in the application, storage and handling of hazardous substances, we use risk assessments to provide a safe framework for our work and provide customers with all the necessary documentation for any poisons or chemicals left at their business address.

Where possible we will always use trapping methods to kill moles, rats and mice and or squirrels; Maidenhead Pest Control has signed up to a voluntary code of conduct for responsible rodenticide use to protect our native wildlife.
We use poison to kill mice and rats along with other types of poison to kill insects such as wasps, these poisons are classed as hazardous substances and as such should always be secured in appropriate containers under lock and key; our technicians are extensively trained in pest extermination and undergo continuous training to maintain their competency with a Government backed scheme. In the course of our pest extermination and pest fumigation in Maidenhead, Ascot and Windsor and throughout Berkshire, we use a variety of dusts, powders, liquids, gels and gassing compounds to kill all manner of insects such as cockroaches and bedbugs; documentation is available outlining the risks.

During the course of any pest control treatment, our staff wear PPE to protect them from the cumulative negative effects of the poisons which they will be handling on a daily basis, all our operations are done to minimise exposure to both our customers and the public as well as non-target species.

All our waste poison, containers and poisoned rodents are class as hazardous waste and these are disposed off through a certified contractor and do not go into any landfill sites.
